NextUp Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the NextUp mobile application (“NextUp”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles information when you use the app.
1. Information stored by NextUp
NextUp lets you create and manage routines, activities, schedules, timers, reminders and progress. The app may store information such as:
- routine and activity names;
- morning, afternoon and evening schedules;
- optional timer durations;
- completion, skipped-item and progress history;
- reminder times and reminder preferences;
- theme, Gentle Mode and other app preferences.
This information is stored locally on your device for the purpose of providing NextUp’s features. NextUp does not operate a remote account system or server that receives this routine information.
2. Data collection and sharing
The current version of NextUp does not use advertising, analytics or tracking services and does not sell personal information. NextUp does not intentionally transmit your routines, activity history, reminder preferences or app settings to the developer or to advertising companies.
3. Notifications and reminders
If you choose to enable routine reminders, NextUp may request Android notification permission. This permission is used only to display local routine reminders on your device. NextUp may also respond to device restart, time or time-zone changes so that enabled reminders can be scheduled again.
4. Android backup and device transfer
Depending on your Android device, operating-system settings and backup provider, Android may include some app data in a device backup or device-to-device transfer. These backup and transfer services are controlled by the device platform or backup provider. NextUp does not operate those services and does not receive or access copies stored by them.
5. Accounts
NextUp does not require you to create a NextUp account or sign in to use the app.
6. Data retention and deletion
NextUp data remains on your device while it is needed for the app’s functionality. You can edit or delete routine activities where the app provides those controls. Historical activity records may remain as part of your existing progress history even after a routine activity is removed.
Because NextUp does not maintain a server-side account containing your routine data, there is no remote copy for us to retrieve or delete. You can remove all locally stored NextUp data by clearing the app’s storage in Android settings or by uninstalling the app. Data held by an Android backup provider is subject to that provider’s backup and deletion controls.
7. Security
NextUp is designed to keep your routine information on your device. You are responsible for the security of your device, including your screen lock and operating-system security settings.
8. Children’s privacy
NextUp does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-operated account, analytics or advertising system. If the app’s target audience or features change, this policy will be updated as required.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if NextUp’s features, data practices or legal requirements change. The effective date shown at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
